Wayfinding.

Wayfinding:
Wayfinding encompasses the information-gathering and decision-making processes people use to orient themselves and navigate through space; simply put, how people get from one location to another.
1. Situation:
Jane Doe, Incoming freshman who is unfamiliar with the Rec. Wants to locate Bicep Machine. The Rec is hard to navigate and none of the machinery is organized by body parts.
2. Representation:
· Unit of Analysis: The Rec Center located in Lawrence KS.
· Activities: Jane Doe finding the bicep machine.
· Environment: Rec Center.
· Individual: Jane: Freshman who has never been to the Rec before.
· Object: Bicep Machine.
· Understanding: How to navigate to the Bicep Machine.

· Have you been to the Rec?
· What year are you?
· How often do you visit the Rec?
· Do you find navigating the Rec difficult?
· Do you find navigating your way to a specific weight machine difficult?
